USPS Self Service Stations in California
The US Postal Service has integrated 12 small and relatively remote sites in California drug stores to be self-service postal stations.
They are all located in Rite Aid stores.
The USPS supports the machines with Priority Mail labels and official daily collection of mail dropped in mail boxes located near the machines. The Pitney Bowes company manufactured and services the machines. the The LePages company, a USPS contractor that is permitted to use the USPS logo on retail mailing products, sponsors and pays for the machine rental and supplies (stamp paper, receipt labels and printer toner) to the store managers who keep the supplies loaded.
The following pages contain images from a visit to four of these locations in October 2013.
